Garnier B.B. Cream review

Got a free sample in the post of Garnier B.B. Cream!

My first thought when recieving this cream was; too dark for me! Though you wouldn't think the same judging by the photo. It doesn't quite look pale enough for me. Still, when I rubbed in the cream it did suit me a lot more.
The cream didn't seem to make much difference to my skin and only covered minor blemishes but I have seen some improvements in the condition of my skin.
Overall I would not purchase this cream but I think it would be a lot more use to someone who's skin matched the cream.

Bright blue awesomeness

I love blue. Light, pastel blue, dark, navy blue, and everything inbetween. But my favourite shade would have to be turquoise.

These sandals are from river island, and they do just brighten up any outfit they go with! My nails look a bit shabby though..

From Forever 21, this cardigan is very summery- but with the flood who knows if you'll be able to wear it!

PASTEL AQUA BLUE RAIN COAT MAC

Maybe this, from the ASOS marketplace would be more suitable.

Anyway, I hope you're all okay and haven't been affected by the floods!

Sports Day Nails

In honour of the olympics, our school sports day's teams has each been given a country. Since we're meant to dress up and I don't have any clothing that looks remotely patriotic, I decided to take advantage of the no nails rule and do something a little different.

Here are my union jack nails! A bit shoddy I know since I'm new to nail art but I thought they were pretty good for a first try :)

Hope you like my design! If you have any good ideas I'd love to hear them!

Not for Ponies

I have a lot of websites that I like to visit and look around and dream of owning every single thing in the shop, but one of my faves has to be Not for Ponies. They have clothing for men, women and children, all in a fun, poppy style with "narrative graphics"

I love this icecream skirt so much! Perfect for summer holidays, plus the hairband the model's wearing is super cute!

This t-shirt is very lovely- over a bright pair of shorts and vintage sunglasses?

Is this sweatshirt the best thing ever or what? Just what you need for slouching round the house in on a lazy day.

I hoped you liked my picks, and tell me what your faves are. Adios!

Primed & Ready Review

Hey!
Today's review is for Collection 2000s latest product, Primed & Ready makeup primer for £5.99.

I like the packaging, simple and with Collection 2000's signature pink. The tube is a little too small and doesn't contain too much product. The product claims to minimise pores and give you a flawless complexion. This is the first part of their new 3 step ritual.
1. Apply Primed & Ready
2. Apply any Collection 2000 foundation
3.Use Fix Me Up make up fixer

The picture above on the right is me wearing just the primer. Apologies for the bad quality. This product does make pores less visible but only subtly. I did notice that once the primer had dried, my face makeup looked better than usual and my skin smoother. You do need to let it dry though and it definitely needs foundation or powder over the top.
I'm not sure wether this product is worth the money as the changes in skin condition are only subtle. Hopefully I'll be able to try all three steps soon!

What do you think of the new primer?
Let me know :)

L'Oréal Glam Shine Reflexion Review

I've had this for a while now but I thought it might be good to review since I spent so long deciding wether to get it or not!

The shade I have is called Sheer Pitaya. It's quite bright as you can see.
The packaging on this product would be very pretty if it wasn't for the huge, ugly, incredibly sticky labels on the lid. Also the wand gets covered in the gloss so it can get a little messy if you're not careful.
I like the colour but I save this gloss for special occasions because the sparkles are just too much for daytime use. The heart shaped wand is good for applying the product and you can easily apply to the tricky corners of your mouth.

Overall this product is okay but you probably need a paler shade than mine to get away with wearing it in the day!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Lace

I love lace, and it can lift an outfit from a bit boring to super duper amazingness! You can either go for a full on lacy look, or be a bit more subtle and try to work some cute little touches into your outfit.
Lace style 4 b
I love the idea of weaving lace into a plait or bun. It explains how to do this style and 3 others involving lace on A Beautiful Mess
Black (Black) Black Skull Lace T-Shirt | 257259901 | New Look
This black lace skull top from new look stands out!

Again, adding lace into hair looks super cute. Try it the easy way with this scrunchies from accessorize
Lace nails are a nice way to add a hint of lace into your outfit.

I don't have as much lace in my wardrobe as I would of liked, but I do have this black lace tiered skirt. I bought it from a charity shop for only two pounds!

Barry M Chameleon Nail Polish Review

I had a quick nip around superdrug looking for new products to review for you peeps and this caught my eye:

A brand new nail varnish from Barry M! This nail varnish claims to change colour with a topcoat, of course I had to try it out! The shade I bought is chameleon pink but there is also a blue colour available.
It's obviously a good quality nail varnish coming from Barry M. It dries pretty quickly and gives a good quality finish.

Now for the magic...
After Topcoat!
Before topcoat...

As you can see this changes from a pretty pink colour to a cool matching purple. The only slight downside is if the varnish is not dry when you add the topcoat, it tends to go a little streaky.
Voila!

Of course you can also use this polish for nail art if you have a nice thin brush. Unfortunately I don't, so I did this tipped design which I think looks okay:

Overall, this is a lovely new addition to my nail polish collection and I think it's well worth £3.99!

Hope you enjoyed the review!

Tried out a sample of the new Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter. Very bright. What thoughts do you guys have on this? X

What I Bought Today- 06.06.2012

Today I was in Tewksbury, and as well as looking round the abbey, I thought it would be an excellent idea to get some shopping done! As well as discovering plentiful vintage boutiques, antique shops and charity shops, there was a very nice little shop called Pretty Special. Visit their website here.

They sell ethnic clothes, jewelry, bags, scarves and amazing wall hangings made by women in India from scraps of old saris. I bought a gorgeous ring.

It was only £1 in a sale they were having! I'm wearing it now as I type this. I would highly reccomend this shop, so if you live anywhere near, pop in and have a look!

Summer Nail Polish

I've been looking for the best nail polish colours for summer. I think my favourites are the new shades of Hot Looks by Collection 2000.

This is a pic from the internet, this is a shade called siren which is the one I have. I'm afraid I couldn't take a pic because I'm not at home at the mo.
This polish is really good last minute because it dries really quickly. One downside is that if you move your hands a lot when it is drying, the texture tends to go all bubbly.

The shades are really bright and so good for summer and at £1.79 per polish, can you really go wrong?
